2007 Gibson Melody Maker the first year of the '59 reissue in vintage Burst. A nice recreation of these guitars-this one shows very little playwear and only a couple of marks as shown-does not show any fretwear. A few small dings as shown but for the most part a very clean piece! Nice weight at about 7.5 lbs and super easy to play with nice low action using 9-42's. The neck is a nice medium to large profile and has a nice feel to it. The body shows a more glossy finish and more filling of the grain than alot of these I have owned so whoever did the filling/finish at the factory put some effort into it-this is a good one! Comes with original Gibson gigbag as shown. I am a big MM user and love these guitars-I have owned close to a dozen or more. Best bang for the buck and the light weight is really nice as compared to a les paul.  USA made with real mahogany body and neck along with a  rosewood board-they will never be able to make these again in the USA at a cost prohibitive price. The 2007 were more true to vintage form than some of the other variations made in the last few years and they were not using baked maple or maple necks.....although some prefer those as well.
