1983 Gibson Les Paul Mystery Special Flag

This is a bit of a mystery Les Paul. I believe it was an employee scrap guitar. The white paint is original, serial 82013545, no made in USA stamp, three piece neck, had p90’s originally, ebony board, Pearl logo inlay and has a straight wrap around bridge.

This is one of the best sounding and comfortable Les Pauls I’ve had. It will need a neck reset (angle is slightly off leaving high action about a hair less than 1/8th of an inch at 12th fret or will need bridge studs grinded down a little for super low action. The neck is straight and truss rod responds beautifully. It plays great and action is low/comfortable up to the 12th fret. Frets have plenty of life. No breaks or repairs. I’ve thoroughly went through it black light and only see evidence of natural wear. The flag glows and finish is checking all over beautifully. Comes with Hardshell Case.
