I’ve really loved having this guitar over the last few years, but it deserves a new home as it’s not getting played enough. Up for sale is a very special guitar known as “Greenie” built by Michael Stevens in excellent condition. It was built in 1983 in Austin and sports a beautiful classic burst with a layer of green in the mix over a very flamey piece of resonant maple. The flamed maple neck was carved by Michael using a blank from Phil Kubicki (stamped) and features a handmade “Ferden” logo with “Svideocaster” as a reference to the original owner’s work in film and video (some well known players have played this one). The neck carve is wonderful and transitions from a c with a hint of v to a flatter feel as you move up the neck. Frets are in great shape, and the setup is dialed in. Limited wear and even checking across the finish. The guitar has its original Seymour Duncan pickups and is wired with a three way switch but with one of the knobs serving as an addition switch to get additional pickup combinations. Weight is 6lbs 8oz on bathroom scale. Great Strat tones along with some Tele characteristics due to the hardtail. This is probably the best all around electric guitar I’ve played. I purchased it with Michael’s help from the original owner and can provide additional info as needed. Original period tweed case in clean condition included. Overall, this one is hard to beat and is one I will surely miss. Feel free to reach out with any questions. Thanks
