• High quality carbon film and metal film resistors by KOA Speer, Kamaya and TE Connectivity, for exceptional accuracy and sound quality.

• Brand New circuit boards that are clones of the original PAS boards and use the original Dynaco PAS circuit.

• The "original style" filament/power supply uses Panasonic electrolytic caps and diodes.

• The rectifier (12X4) tube is NOS, an RCA "black plate" vintage tube.

The selector switch is a modern 6 position type. The rear panel has jacks for 5 line level/high level (auxiliary) inputs and one dedicated low level phono input (47K) for a MM (moving magnet) type turntable and there's a phono ground post for turntables that have a separate ground wire. The nomenclature printed on the front panel at the selector indicates position designations of the original selector and therefore does not match up with the new selectors actual operation and input arrangement of the back panel. (See the very last photo in the listing for a visual representation that will help clarify further). Operation however is logical, simple and straightforward. Phono is now located at the far left position/location labeled (special) the remaining positions now simply follow a clockwise rotation and match the order of the jacks in the rear panel. Starting at phono (special) and rotating to the right you have (Aux/CD) where tape head is located then (Aux/MP3) where phono is labeled, then (Aux/Tuner) where it says FM-AM, then (Aux1) at the position marked FM-MPX and finally (Aux2) is the position labeled spare. • Built in a brand new Dynakit chassis with their new vented cover, a new Dynakit aluminum faceplate and all new aluminum knobs.

• The new Dynakit PA-211 power transformer is wound to operate from a standard 120V-125V outlet. (no voltage reducer necessary)

• The preamp is fuse protected, unlike the original PAS design.

• The pilot lamp is an adjustable LED sitting behind the amber "power indicator" pilot jewel.

• The volume control, balance control, bass and treble controls and the switches are all brand new as is all the wiring.

• The loudness switch is functional. The filter switch, tape monitor and the stereo blend control circuit were eliminated. (dummy fixtures are installed at the filter, tape monitor and blend control locations, they're simply there to hold the knobs and fill voids in the faceplate, they are for aesthetic purposes only)

This is not a rebuild, it is a brand new, updated and modernized version of the Dynaco PAS.
