G&L CLF L1000 Blue - Empress

I have owned several G&L basses, mostly older models...they are bulletproof, but weigh a ton and tonally not quite punchy enough for my tastes. This bass is VERY different. My favorite G&L by far, but I am not playing bass at all these day (see my other auctions). 

I know from the serial # that this is a CLF, but the headstock has no model number. on its face. It is  an L1000 (it is NOT a Tribute model) with factory COA. It may be a custom shop or tradeshow model??? Excellent condition. It is incredibly lightweight with Empress wood; weighs less than my strat. Really easy to play neck. The pickup is a passive humbucker with three way switch...it has a massive punch with a huge low-end, sits in the mix more forward than an active Music Man pickup. It is not a subtle bass; it wants to blow up your SVT...puts a smile on my face every time. Includes factory hardshell case (in brand new condition, too).
