PRICE REDUCTION! NOT A PRODUCT/QUALITY REDUCTION! Barcus-Berry Acoustic-Electric Violin. Model as detailed from F-Hole Label: The Barcus-Berry Company BBVSS1 Serial# 4432 Assembled In Australia. YES! Assembled In Australia! I first contacted Electric Violin Shop, Durham, North Carolina, as a Barcus-Berry dealer, to identify the color of this Violin. Sent them emails of my photos. Very polite fellow advised he had no idea what color might be. Gray? Pearl White? Definitely not from latest Barcus-Berry Color Chart. Provided Serial #. No, definitely not a current Serial #. Australia? News to him. I thanked him for his patience. I recall I bought this Violin in August 2015 from Elderly Instruments as I found a note to myself dated 8/5/2015 with Serial #'s for three Violins inside the case: 4432,4347 and 4357. These were on consignment. I selected #4432 as it was autographed by Tracy Bonham of "Mother Mother" fame. This appears to be a most unique Barcus-Berry. The Piezo Transducer Bridge is Aubert, as it should be but labeled AUBERT Made In France. Labeled on front is Barcus-Berry Made In USA. Balance of instrument appears production: Body Made in Romania. Ebony Soundboard, Tuning Keys and Chin Rest. Glasser Bow. 4 Fine Tuners. Tracy Bonham autographed. "Custom" Color? Hopefully more and better photos coming showing Tracy Bonham playing this instrument... Price Reduction 11-12-2022. Today's Price! $1,250.00
