I saw this thing nearly 20 years ago in an amazing book titled something like "100 Coolest Rare Guitars" or some such thing, and knew I had to have it.

Fast forward to today, it has been an amazing conversation / display piece, but I found myself not playing it nearly as much (if at all) as the rest of my collection, simply due to some very subjective player preferences. I finally decided that space is valuable, and I'd rather have it taken up by something I play daily, and hope that this can find a home that will properly appreciate it for the beauty that it is.

It's in very good condition for its age, 100% original and complete, along with the original hard (well, hard-ish) shell case (which is in pretty rough shape TBH, but at least it did its job!).

This poor guy squealed like a stuck pig and had a pretty ouchy crack near the headstock when I purchased it decades ago, but it was lovingly and expertly fixed by a professional luthier, and has never had the slightest indication of being affected by the repair.  The pickups were wax-potted to get rid of the awful squeal these things get over time, and is now quiet as a mouse.  I used to have issues with the strings coming off the bridge while playing, so replaced the bridge with all new hardware, and had a nice bone nut put in to compliment.  However, the new bridge did not require modifying the guitar in any way, and all original hardware (and nut) is included in case you want to revert back to its original state of being.

Everything works perfectly on this beast, it is literally Satan's Surf Guitar!  Built-in fuzz is *w*i*l*d*, definitely a fun feature.

Priced to move. Don't be afraid to make an offer!
