For sale - a 1979 Yamaha SG 1000 in good condition and full working order. The guitar is previously used and decently aged - it shows wear such as moderate surface scratches and indentations. There is discoloration in the finish between the stain and clear coat. It has resulted in light patches appearing in the darker finished areas of the guitar. Playability wise, it doesn't get much sweeter than this though, still a players guitar. The SG-1000 is the standard model that cemented the high regard for the SG series, Yamaha’s signature electronic guitars. While deluxe models SG-3000 and SG-2000 use a neck-through structure to achieve a rich sustain, the SG-1000 features a set-in neck with a bright and punchy sound for those guitarists seeking a traditional rock sound.

The guitar has been professionally set up in-house which includes a fresh set of stings, polish and clean, oiling the neck, spraying out the pots if necessary, and setting the string height at a low-to-medium action. Includes gigbag.
