First year of production on this part of American music history! A '62 Duane Eddy Guild model, in all-original condition. This guitar is very special for its rarity, the DE-400 was officially introduced in '63 and has the DeArmond pickup configuration was only offered for a year before they switched to humbuckers. However, "The Guild Guitar Book" dates the earliest example of a DE-400 to '62 "At least one instrument is known to exist, with serial #22163, which dates it to 1962", and this guitar has an earlier serial number.
This model sports a 17" body, and features a mahogany neck with a maple strip, matched with laminate spruce top with maple back and sides. This guitar is in great shape, with all original hardware. Serial #22159, comes with the original case
