Taylor GS8E 2007

Taylor GS8E 2007 Acoustic Electric Guitar in mint/ new condition. Case is in mint/ new condition. Ships in OEM Taylor box. Made in 2007 and has been in climate controlled room in its case and OEM box since. It has been well cared for with a monthly humidifier check up. It has been played only a hand full of times by me to check the electronics, sound and playability. Comes with very nice high quality black Taylor leather strap ($100 value) with Scheller gold strap locks. (works/good only for neck strap lock) and all other accessories pictured.
This guitar sounds outstanding and is great if you like a lot of base. Taylor no longer manufacturers this model. Of all of their current product line today they do not make one that produces this much bass. Very powerful full spectrum projection. Its standard scale of 25 1/2" with more physical tension = more power/ volume. Taylor's newer 816ce models are 24 7/8" with lighter strings and designed for less tension = easier to play. But you loose out on bass and power. Which is not exactly a bad thing for some as it's just different. Equipped with expression one electronics that many prefer over the expression two. I am not saying it is better than what they currently make today, but its different in a very good way. Sitka Spruce Top, Indian Rosewood Back & Sides, Tropical Mahogany Neck, Ebony Fret Board. Body is gloss and neck is satin and beautiful in every way. The new Taylor 816ce has the silent satin. Personally I like the look of this gloss. It's also comfortable to play. Due to its age I recenlty drove it over to Taylor in San Diego for free warranty inspection at their San Diego, El Cajon location. Checked out perfect, new strings were installed and was professionally set up by a Taylor luthier.
The case is very nice and quality built compared to what is offered today at this level. It has five lock down latches and a locking combo latch. Also has small d-rings to attach a strap for body carry (not included) New cases at 5K level don't come with these features.
