Super rare Frying Pan lap steel from Teisco. Model EG-K. Teisco copied many popular models and got into the steel game with this nod to the popular Rickenbacker Frying Pan. This simple lap steel features a powerful and fantastic slotted pickup, identical to the pickup found in the first edition of Teisco's J1 model guitar. It works great and with the strength of the pickup it can cut through the mix.
Very distinctive in style, size and sound. The finish is in good overall shape, with some chipping around the edges and an assortment of scuffs and marks. There is also a slight bend in the Low E tuner but all tuners turn fine. (Take a close look at all pics.) Very cool art deco-like inlays that play nicely off of the slotted look of the pickup. Textured back to prevent it from sliding on the back. Super cool vintage steel that is portable and fun to play. We've only ever seen a couple of these but none in this color with this styling.
