Butler Audio BK-100 Tube Driver Guitar Amplifier Head

If you love the B.K. Butler Tube Driver pedal, this amplifier designed by B.K. is going to blow you away. This amplifier was designed to incorporate the nuances of the best classic tube amp designs and incorporates an upgraded overdrive system with an expanded version of the World Famous B.K. Butler Tube Driver Pedal. 

Some of the features include"

1) Built in studio grade Tube Driver preamp. The drive capability is expanded from the tube driver pedal has an added Mid EQ and bias controls from the Tube Driver foot pedal design. The front panel or foot-switchable. 

2) The Tube Driver preamp has its own pair of rear panel effect loop jacks which allows the insertion of post Tube Driver Effects, just as if it were a separate floor pedal. The Tube Driver preamp switches directly into the main preamp just as it logically appears on the front panel.

3) Main preamp section incorporates a unique 2 parallel input tube with a double-ganged volume knob to easily produce a thick, rich, and classic "Y"d input Plexi" feel and the tonality that most pros prefer. A wide range of flexible 4 band EQ plus an overall Master volume knob is included. A second effects loop is provided on the rear panel.

4) Balanced Transformer Driven Phase Inverter greatly enhances power amp stability and harmmonics at higher power and overdrive conditions. This design results in virtually never ending sustain and tone that "doesn't run out of gas" to quote Eric Johnson. 

5) Whisper fan power tube cooling. For extended tube life and ventilation and safety.

6) Blue LED illumination of the tubes. The visual finishing touch to appeal and appearances.

This amplifier represents #4 of 50. According to customer service at Butler Audio, fewer than 50 were ever made and most existing amps are owned by pros or are in recording studios.

A little bit about the acquisition of this amplifier:

I am the second owner and received this amplifier in an inheritance. I know there is very little information available about this amplifier and am happy to share the email correspondence I had with Butler Audio about this product. According to Butler Audio, the amplifier was designed to cost between $4000.00 - $5000.00  new. 

The Amplifier is in like new condition. I have probably put 50 hours on the tubes and removed it from packaging myself. (I am the second owner. However, I am the only user of this amp.)
