This underrated Soundgear model features a bolt-on joint that allows easy access to the upper frets of the five-piece jatoba/bubinga neck. Only 4/5" thick at the first fret, the 34" scale neck provides more comfortable playing than most 5-string necks. Bartolini MK1 pickups and 3-band EQ deliver world-class tone, while the mahogany body provides naturally warm lows and sweet sustain. The rosewood fretboard offers a strong, bright sound and an attractive appearance with a long grain. The ultradurable Accu-Cast B25 bridge offers quick and easy string changes, while its single-screw saddle height adjustment gives you better stability than standard double-screw designs. I have included close-up pictures of the somewhat significant wear on the instrument. All of this was done by the previous owner. I just recently had it set up with new strings and it plays buttery smooth.
I don't have enough of a use for a 5-string to justify keeping this one in the stable and I could do with a bit less financial stress. If it wasn't for hose reasons, I'd never let this one go. This is a $650 bass when new. My singer was surprised I was selling this bass because the Bartolinis made this my best sounding bass, in her eyes.
If you have any questions about this bass at all, feel free to send me a message.
