Today I am offering probably one of the most famous and best known German Vintage Semi-Hollowbody Guitars. A Saturn 63. As the name points out that the guitar was built during the 60ties this one represents the tracks and the spirit of the time. Hopf by that time tried to built a futuristic guitar, indeed they were successful. Many famous musicians have been playing on a Saturn 63. Just as the Beatles and the Cure. They have used it in their music video 'Friday I am in love' - have a look
Condition of the guitar:
For its age the guitar is in a very good condition. All the containments are original! The neck is 100% straight even after all this time. There are some vintage lacquer scratches on the top and on the back (vintage factor). Good and smooth playability. It has a adjustable bridge, a tremolo working fine and two nice vintage pickups from hopf. The frets have some marks of the time But there's a lot of life left in them. Electrics and everything is working fine!
The offer includes the original vintage case!
It's really a great collectable guitar. The creme Brulee is original too and a very rare lacquer they used back then. Most of the saturn 63 were made in Sunburst
