About This Listing

Product Description

owner and player this is a great guitar. Please read the full ad thank you.

Around 3000 of these were made in Texas by Bob Murrell and MCI music from the 60's to the 80's using Japanese import bodies (like this Ventura V-1400) and filling them with their Goitrogen electronics
This guitar was made in Japan's famed Matsumoku factory and features a full 17" body with laminate maple top, back and sides.  This was Ventura's top of the line offering in the 1960s and the quality and craftsmanship really shows! This is a Lawsuit copy of the Gibson Barnie Kessel signature model Japanese/American crafted

It BUCKS- I believe its all original- only thing possible not original would be the knobs possible.
pickups are the gold plated -Goitrogen electronics that they filled them with they sound killer.
tail piece original, bridge original, missing pickguard and trust rod cover.
the pickups are pychdelic I kinda want to swap them in to my les. worth what I'm asking

iv had it set up with the Luthier a Balls to the wall PROFESSINAL set up job low clean fast even action. IT plays.
truss rod is perfect functions as should. neck is straight checked and set. its coming with a great set up ready to play. This Neck is slim its a real slim comfy neck I have small hands I get along with it well.
gives me a lot of euphoria its a damn decent guitar I feel.

Condition
its in overall great shape ill start with the best parts easiest to describe parts.
the back is 9/10 maybe some minor starch's but great.
top has some deep finish cracks 3 deep finish cracks but overall great.
1 mistaken drilled hole at factory at the upper left neck pup.
most damage over the time is on the sides were the binding connects
binding is structurally very sound it has a bit of cracking but they don't need to be addresses you could replace if you wanted too cosmetically cracks are mostly finish.
Fretboard has been treated and cared for well  9/10 frets are also good back of neck is pretty clean.
FRETS were replaced newish frets small fret nips in the binding from replacements.
Headstock has a scuff on the back minor stuff there two on the top. its over all real good with minor cosmetic stuff.
cracking around the heel off the neck is a commonly stressed area it didnt break it might have been rocked but never broken clean off.  nothing affects playability its all cosmetic playability is amzaing.
Condition is to the best of knowledge. its been ran threw by the luthier and insured it plays

shipping- I have packaging supplies I'm confident it will get there as described.
open to purchasing case at buyers expensive. Consider adding a case. I will find you a deal on a used clean quality case for around half the price of its value. you'll get a deal ill get peace of mind shipping. consider it.

if you want a case for a fraction of the price I can add one. enquire for more details about case options.
Feel free to reach out with questions picture request whatever it may be thanks for reading.
