Fender Jazz Bass Special - Fretless - '80s - Jade Green Metallic

Perfect for the player who needs a reasonably-priced, quality fretless bass for occasional use, this Jazz Bass Special shows some wear but is ready to play. Made in Fender’s Japan factory, it features P/J pickup configuration for plenty of tonal range.

The body is actually a Precision style and the nut width is 1.55”—much more P than J—but the two-pickup combo seems to qualify it as a Jazz. The original pickups have been swapped for a pair of EMGs. Controls are 2 x Volume and a Master Tone, with 3-position selector.

The maple neck and head are finished in a gloss black, with a silky smooth fretless rosewood fingerboard. All hardware is black, too (bridge and strap buttons show definite wear). The body is finished in a Jade Green metallic polyurethane with no pickguard.
