A Peavey T-60... Made in the great state of Mississippi, USA!

Let's see. It's 1981 and you are a budding young guitar player. A Gibson Les Paul is nearly $1,000. A Fender Stratocaster is almost $800. Hmmm... A Peavey T-60 is $375. Go for it!

A cheap entry level guitar you say?

Not so fast!  Maybe guitarists had the perception that a guitar that sold for so much less couldn’t possibly be the equal of the big names. Maybe not as pretty as a Les Paul, but read on...

The T-Series was originated by Hartley Peavey in 1978 and built in a way that revolutionized the guitar making industry. Peavey was the first to construct necks with something that was completely new to the industry, a computerized copy lathe. By using computers, every single neck came out exactly the same for the first time ever in guitar making history. This manufacturing technique is now used throughout the guitar industry worldwide. This technology also allowed Hartley Peavey to produce guitars that were at least equal to the quality of Fender and Gibson, yet it significantly lowered their production costs.

The Peavey T-60 was built from 1978 to 1988 and was way ahead of it's time. It is loaded with two epoxy-potted four-conductor "full-range" humbuckers with a blade design, named Super Ferrite pickups. The wiring was really ahead of its time back in 1978... with out-of-phase and coil-split options. So cool you have to hear it to believe it!

All original from top to bottom. Made from solid Ash. Only some minor buckle rash on the back. That's it!
