I've owned this guitar since 2008 and I'm the 2nd owner. It's been in its case for the majority of that time as I almost never play 7 strings. I've probably put 5 hours playing time on this total in the time I've owned it.
This is an original RG 7621 made in Japan in 1999. These were the first non-Universe 7 strings that Ibanez offered in their lineup. You can read up on the history of this guitar here:
Considering the age of this guitar it is in excellent condition. There are 3 small cosmetic blemishes that I've pointed out in the pics. Has some general swirling as you'd expect on an 18-year-old guitar but I've never polished it up. Frets are in excellent condition. This year 7621 has Gotoh tuners, the RG7 maple neck, basswood body and a rosewood fretboard.
I added a Duncan Invader at the bridge when I got it - I still have the original Dimarzio p/up and both will ship included with the guitar. Not sure if this is the OHSC but the hard case pictured is included as well.
Happy to answer questions. Guitar will ship from Massachusetts.
From the Ibanez Wiki:"The Ibanez RG7621 is a seven-string RG series electric guitar model introduced in 1998 and one of the first two seven-string RG series models issued by Ibanez along with the RG7620. Previously, Ibanez only issued the Universe Series as seven-strings.
Features of the RG7621 include a basswood body, Dimarzio pickups and a string-through fixed bridge. Although some Ibanez catalogs state that the RG7621 actually came with DiMarzio Blaze pickups, they are actually special DiMarzio 7 pickups, also known as Custom 7s, specially made for Ibanez's seven-string models...
The RG7620 and RG7621 were discontinued after 2002. In 2003, similar models were introduced as the RG1527 and RG15271 as part of the expanded Prestige series."
