Handmade Unbranded Maple Stave Snare Drum 6.5x14 2022 Natural

This is a handmade stave snare. It is a 6.5x14 made using quality maple and has been crafted with care every step of the way! Our drums are made in a small shop, one drum at a time, and are designed to look and sound great. This drum is fitted with 10-lug S-Hoops for great sound and tuning stability. It also features Puresound S1430 snares. These snares have 30 strands and are incredibly responsive while still packing the punch you want.

Being 6.5” deep gives you an incredible extra punch, and the bearing edges are cut at 45 degrees inside and a roundover outside, designed to give you a ton of head-to-drum contact. This provides a fat, vintage sound that is impossible not to love. It also has shallow snare beds cut to allow some extra pop in the snares. 

If you are unfamiliar with stave snares, they are designed to give a much higher solid wood to glue ratio than normal ply snares. Using a quality wood in this manner allows the tonewood to shine through and makes an incredibly pure sound. This drum is fully functional, complete, and ready to rock in a concert setting or on a drumset.

Sometimes the insides of these drums are not cut quite as deep, which means you can see the stave lines. This is intentional, as it provides a shell thickness needed to give stability to the drum.
