Update: there is a fair amount of finish checking in the top. I neglected to mention it.
This is a fine little guitar by John How. Best I can describe it style wise is a Gibson L-1 “Robert Johnson” with a cutaway. Redwood top. Gorgeous Koa back and sides. K&K pure mini and Cedar Creek case.
It has been played and has some dings, finish chips, one slightly bent tuner and a bridge that is lifting just a touch. It plays fantastic and sounds even better. Very dry and reminds me of an old 00-17.
I have priced it according to its condition. I don’t know if John is building a lot of guitars these days.
I traded a Collings Baby for this from Bat McGrath - a fantastic player and songwriter who passed a few years ago.
