This is a very rare find. Basically this guitar has been under someones bed or in their closet for the last 32 years and is in almost unplayed condition! You can't get a 32 year old collector guitar in any better condition than this one. It comes in its original case (OHSC) which is also in excellent condition! The guitar was made in Japan by Matsumoku in January 1985 and Quest guitars were featured in the July 2017 issue of Vintage Guitar magazine.
This Attack 1 Electric Guitar features a Maple neck and fingerboard. I'd say its very similar to a Stratocaster bolt-on neck and has a 25" scale. Its not too thick or thin in its depth and feels nice in your hands. It has both a lead single coil pickup and a Humbucking pickup below. The frets show absolutely no wear. The guitar sounds great and is easy to play and looks cool with its unusual shape! Its a dark red not really maroon but not Ferrari red either! The pictured color is correct.
Why buy a new Mexican Strat when you can get this well made collector guitar for less money and the potential for increasing value over time for this collectible guitar. The guitar comes with the original case and the article from Vintage Guitar magazine that has the history. If you are an 80's metal guitar collector don't let this one get away. I've seen a few of these for sale but none are even close to this kind of condition! Who wants chips and age scratches when you can have this great guitar in excellent condition. You can tell by the light color of the maple neck that this guitar has not seen the sun (it would be much darker!). It won't last long in this condition at this price!
