We dated this one from the serial number as a 1982. Its one of the last... This model was only offered from 1980 thru 1982. They reissued them a couple more years in the 90’s… This one was originally natural on the cool looking Ash Body. However, a previous owner thought it was a good idea to overspray it. It was not a good job. We leveled it out some and hand rubbed it out to bring out the cool looking Ash body you see now. Not perfect but looks really really cool. Only the knobs aren’t original. Beautiful condition on this Natural BEAUTY!!

Here’s some info we found on these cool guitars…

The Blazer series is a line of solid body electric guitar and bass models produced for and sold under the brand. It was introduced in 1980 and offered for three years. The line was revived in 1995 before being ultimately discontinued after 1998.

The Blazer line is similar in appearance to the Fender Stratocaster. It has an offset double-cutaway body with rounded contours and rounded edges. The design incorporates pickguard-mounted pickups. According to the lore, Hoshino's regular supplier, didn't have much experience building Strat-style guitars, so Hoshino turned to Dyna Gakki in Nagano to produce the Blazer guitars.

The Blazer series essentially replaced the guitar line for 1980 and was subsequently replaced by the for 1983.

This guitar was purchased from a Pro Player Finder that specializes in Made in Japan Guitars.. The Original Ibanez Pickups sound awesome… Not only does it look and sound good, it plays great… The Pro Setup action is nice and low...plenty of room to set it up with your playing preferences..We have it set up with a new set of 10 gauge Strings. The coil tap switch is to put the guitar out of phase in the between pickup settings. It only works on the middle setting. This is a three way switch..Not 5 way. Very cool sound from those settings. This guitar gives you 3 very distinct sounds from these cool Humbucker Pickups!

This guitar is all original and its just beautiful. Very few Dings on this beauty…You would expect more of them from a used guitar from the 1980’s…just superficial things. Check those pics...what a great looking guitar!

The guitar is all original but the knobs. It has the really cool Ibanez branded Smooth Touch tuners, the pickguard and even the Ibanez brass bridge. No whammy on this one. It’s a top loading Hard Tail. These stay in tune!! It is very cool!

Check out the cool original Hard Shell Case…as nice as the guitar. All latches, hinges and original handle are still with it as well as the accessory box .... awesome case for your awesome rare Made in Japan Ibanez guitar.

Sold as-is no returns its used and 40 years old.. However ... I have been hand picking out my customers guitars for over 20 years and they loved the guitars I found for them...this cool Ibanez will certainly not be an exception!
