Created as a perfect complement to the Mondial guitars, the bass versions produces deep bass tones from the massive single-pole constructed Humbucking neck pickup. Blend in the bridge piezo to create unparalleled unique tonal textures, or use the piezo on its own for the true acoustic bass sound. The range of tonal options make the Mondial Deluxe and Classic easily the most versatile bass instruments on the scene. The bass is long scale (34")

Italia is one of the most innovative and creative guitar brand to surface in the last 20 years, the models from these original series were very well built in South Korea by the Mirr factory that also makes the Rivolta guitars and Reverend guitars among other prestigious brands.

About this bass:

This Bass is NEW OLD STOCK, never used, this is inventory from a Italia Dealership that closed. The frets were polished and the fingerboard hidrated. The electronics have been checked and are fully functional. The colour of the Resoglass top does not match perfectly the colour of the back part of the body. It has original setup that came from factory and although, I think the set up is fine, everyone has their own preferences.  It comes the original Italia Gigbag.

Model Overview: The most unique feature for the Mondial Sportster is that it has two completely independent pickup systems, with two separate output jacks for each system. There is a standard neck and bridge configuration with one massive single-pole constructed Wilkinson Humbucking neck pickup , a 3-way selector switch, master volume and tone controls. The Piezo system is an ‘under the bridge’ piezo pickup that is integrated in the wood bridge and has a 2 band EQ Tone control, and independent volume control. It also features an adjustable thumb rest that makes it super confortable to play. The Resoglass top (like the old vintage Airline guitars) makes it unique looking and ligher.

These two separate pickup systems produces a wide range of tonal control and diversity you can't achieve on most Basses making it an extremely versatile Bass with two fully different tones. The piezo has a great acoustic character, and with a vey effective two band EQ controls that allows you to really dial in the sound.
