These rare acoustics, sold exclusively in the Montgomery Wards catalog, were produced by Gibson in Kalamazoo, Michigan and are essentially a re-branding of the more popular Kalamazoo KG-11 model. This example is in very good condition with moderate cosmetic wear, a solidly repaired back crack and missing the original pickguard. Plays very well and features a chunky V-shaped neck with a wide nut width, which is perfect for fingerpicking. This guitar is compact, yet produces a lot of volume due to its lighter construction and the tone is very warm and woody with a drier resonance, making it ideal for Blues and Folk styles. A great little picker! Includes chipboard case.
