About This Listing
Wicked cool Kalamazoo Caballero...
Vintage original 1968 Epiphone FT-30 Caballero...a really sweet Epiphone made by Gibson in the Kalamazoo, MI factory before manufacturing was moved to Japan.
I really dig the surface on this little guitar! Crazed and aged to give it a look that is only matched by the fantastic tone... sweet, warm and organic. Wait until you hear it with the vintage Bill Lawrence A-300 Acoustic Guitar Pickup with the script logo! The pickup dates to the late 1960s and it sounds like a million bucks. Installed with the output jack in the strap button.
These Kalamazoo made flat tops are a wicked good value for players looking for a vintage Gibson flat top without breaking the bank. This clean and original well aged example plays great all the way up the beautiful Brazilian rosewood fingerboard and features the original pickguard and tortoiseshell binding. The plastic bridge was replaced decades ago… I’m sure it had to be done.
Sweet! Made by Gibson in the good ole USA.
Check out the pics because they don't lie... like always! The condition is, well, check out the pics!
Shipping quoted is to you in the CONUS, as always... includes the original case...
Hey... make an offer. I just might take it! You never know.
The Caballero or the FT-45 Caballero continued an earlier Epiphone model after Gibson purchased Epiphone in 1957. This guitar featured an all Mahogany body with tortoiseshell binding. The Caballero was also offered a Tenor guitar from 1963 to 1968.
