This is the reissue of the infamous first variation Gibson proposed to Les Paul for his signature instrument. The historic documentation and case candy is in pristine shape and included here.
I picked this one in particular because it has the most beautiful piece of mahogany for the body. It took the cherry stain very well and is a deep red. It is astounding to play and resonates more than any SG I have played previously.
The vibrato is very cool and works flawlessly. The aging is a nice touch and it feels like a vintage instrument. It sounds absolutely wicked through an amp.
