The Premier DC is D'angelico's entry-level double cut, centre block / semi-hollowbody. In other words; an ES-type according to the classic recipe, but very well done! This particular Boardwalk version of the DC is equipped with P90 pickups (USA Seymour Duncan SP-90's!) and what a great sound that is; fresher than humbuckers, but fatter than single coils, very musical and inspiring!
The Premier series is a great introduction to these type of guitars whose versatility continues to amaze us. As does the Premier DC, with which you can pretty much play any genre. With the DC Boardwalk, you'll lay down a solid foundation of guitar sound in any situation that is just different than all the other traditional and iconic guitar models. The hollow body with center block of this Boardwalk is made of laminated maple with a very cool Iced Blue Metallic finish that comes really close to Pelham Blue. The maple set neck has an ovangkol fingerboard with 14" radius, Grover Super Rotomatic tuners and the guitar has a 24.75" radius.
