Up for sale, a 1990's Mosrite Ventures Model '65 vintage reissue electric guitar in excellent condition and in perfect working order. Manufactured in Japan by Kurokumo, this expertly constructed instrument adheres to vintage spec, featuring a gloss white finish accented by a red tortoise pickguard. Tonewoods include a basswood body with prominent German Carve, a maple neck, and bound slab rosewood fingerboard, yielding a smooth, balanced acoustic tone. These tonewoods provide an ideal platform for the single coil pickup pair which offers plenty of power, percussive cut, and sparkling treble. Weighing 8lbs 7oz, this Mosrite has been professionally setup here at Mike and Mike’s Guitar Bar with 11-49 strings, slinky action, and spot-on intonation.

The maple neck has an extremely slender C-shaped profile carve at the nut with just a hair more overall heft further up the fretboard, easy-playing in every register and measuring .760" deep at the 1st fret and .840" at the 12th. The bound rosewood fretboard features practically perfect slender vintage-style frets which have their full factory height and well-rounded crowns. The guitar plays easily up the 24 3/4" scale with a straight neck and responsive, optimally adjusted truss rod. The fretboard measures 1 9/16" wide at the zero fret, just forward of the aluminum nut, and the headstock features Kluson-style tuners that turn smoothly and hold pitch well.

The electronics include the original neck pickup which meters at 7k ohms, and a replacement genuine Mosrite bridge pickup, wound more hotly (and closer to vintage spec) at 12k ohms. The pickups pair well, and each position on the three-way pickup selector toggle offers a distinctive, vital sound. The '65 look is rounded out with chrome Mosrite "M" knobs and the “Moseley” vibrato which has a smooth, reliable responde and great spring tension. The chrome plating on the hardware has plenty of shine, and the gloss White finish is accented by a red tortoise pickguard which shows a bit of requisite pick scuffing across the strum path. Cosmetic wear is limited to a small spot of light buckle rash central to the lower bout on the back, and just a few additional minor marks on the body as a whole, almost exclusively relegated to the back and body perimeter. The gloss finish on the neck profile is nigh flawless.
