G&L Rampage 1999 White Jerry Cantrell model near mint

I got this near NOS condition 1999 G&L Rampage Cantrell custom creations department guitar for sale.
 I know a few of you maybe not remembering that G&L did a Cantrell model in the 90's. Only imperfection is on the top of the headstock there is a minor ding/blemish, hard to photo but look at photo.

I guess in the late 90's G&L finally worked out a deal for a signature model as a very limited run. The guitar was made to Jerry;s specs including the factory recessing the Kahler bridge and using the far superior Floyd nut instead of the garbage sheet metal stock nut they used in the 80's.

Lots of people don't know this but Jerry's original 80's Rampage had to be modified by a tech to not only recess the bridge but the angle of the neck had to be changed which required extensive modification... then a Floyd nut was added.

So when G&L released this limited run of 70 guitars they did this at the factory, came stock with a JB pickup and the body was shockingly alder not maple as Jerry claims his original Rampages to be. Back in the 80's the Rampage was available with ether an ash, alder or maple body along with rosewood or ebony fretboard.

Also another thing about this run, the guitars were sold with gigbags. The Rampage guitars were longer and much bigger than the traditional strat style guitar. G&L simply did not have cases that large and as a cost cutting thing gave people Levy's gigbags.

In my opinion these were much better/higher quality guitars than the original and newer USA Cantrell Rampages. The Ebony fretboard are nice fat slabs of wood on these babies as opposed to the older and current veneers.

I don't believe all 70 were ever sold, the highest numbers in the G&L registry were in the 50's and made in 2001 before production on this model ended.
