This Hippner Neo Koa plays wonderfully, however the top has about 1/32" to 1/16" of deflection due to being a very lightweight top.  Given that the rest of the instrument and it's finish are very well and that it still plays well, this is a great grab for it's price.
The nut is about 2 /18" or 54mm, and the scale length is about 25 1/2" or 650mm.
Built with Colorado Blue Spruce, Blister Koa back and sides, Mahogany neck with Ebony reinforcement, Ebony fretboard/bridge/bindings, Rubner tuners, and Black Palm handmade rosette, tie-block, and bridge decor, this instrument provides a wonderful harmony with it's aesthetics.  This is tonally well balanced, focused, and responsively dynamic in it's superlative tones and depth.  There is no mistake that the handiwork of Darren Hippner is of mastery.
