Rescued and Revamped Vintage 1960s Red Burst Global Double Cut Guitar w/Black Pearl Pickguard
This is another example of Triage Guitar Shop of West Palm Beach Florida saving an abused or discarded vintage guitar from extinction.
This Vintage Global guitar was an empty Mahogany body and detached Maple neck when first acquired.
The following is a listing of Actions, additions and improvements performed to return this classic to its former glory and playability.
Custom 3-ply Black Pearl pickguard designed and fabricated
Body cleaned and touched up (Vintage surface characteristics showing through)
After curing, the body was polished
New Output Jack and mushroom strap buttons installed
2 "Toaster Slot" humbucker pickups installed for a distinct range of tones
6 inline chrome Vintage tuning machines installed
Guitar has been totally rewired
Replaced volume and tone controls with full size potentiometers and capacitor
Jaguar Style Control plate installed with 2 slide switches for selection of individual pickups and the 3rd is a Jaguar style "Strangle" switch to accentuate higher frequency tones when activated.
Bigsby Style Vibrato and adjustable height bridge installed
New chrome knurled knobs w installed
Ernie Ball Super Slinky strings (.09 - .042) installed
21 frets cleaned with 0000 steel wool
25 1/2 inch scale length
