Super cool old 4001 with the checkerboard! It looks like the binding has been repaired in some spots and there is some artificial yellowing around you can see. There is a lacquer crack around the heel that is only in the finish. No breaks or repairs. The pots date to 1968 and the wiring and caps look good. The pickguard is cracked but you can’t tell when it’s mounted on the bass. The bridge is new and it looks like there is a tiny bit of the cavity you can see from the side there. There are also two extra screws in the pickguard maybe from some mini toggles that were added and removed. It sounds awesome and it’s in good shape! Cool old grovers. Fretboard and frets in good shape. Looks good doing it!

Comes with a non original hard shell case.
