A cool Factory Left Handed Telecaster Bass for the Player. The good, this is one of only a handful of vintage Lefty Telecaster Basses we have encountered. The bad, it has had some changes over the years making it an affordable vintage bass. The bass once had another pickup installed in the bridge position. The route was cut out of the body with a new piece of ash being matched and installed to repair the route. A seam can be seen on either side of the bridge. The body was then refinished in a nicely reliced and aged Butterscotch Blonde Finish. Traces of the original Blonde finish can be seen in the neck pocket. Some newer parts including a repro pickguard, Fender Tuners, Bridge, and wiring harness. The original pickup stamped and dated 1975, knobs, neck plate, and bridge cover are intact. The neck has its original finish, logo, and frets. Signature large and rounded Telecaster Bass neck profile. The neck is straight and the bass plays well. The original Wide Range Pickup offers that Thunderous tone these basses are known for. The bass is on the weighty side at 11.5 pounds, typical of these 1970s Ash Body Telecaster Basses. Included is an aftermarket hardshell case. This is a great opportunity for the Lefty Player who as always lusted after one of these hard to find Lefty examples and either can not find one or justify the price tag of an all original example.
