With ahead-of-its-time polyphonic aftertouch and 2 patch selector buttons over the pitch and mod wheels, it provides a level of response and expression that was previously only possible with acoustic instruments (try the original EPS sax patch...it is mindblowing with its gronks, squeaks and wails that can be harnessed in a live environment).I am offering my Ensoniq EPS Performance Sampler for sale. It comes equipped with maximum upgraded memory to maximize your sampling capacity and creative headroom. It is in very good condition—the photos show lint from the white towel I drape it with when not in use. The gray haze around the system expander port is from duct tape adhesive that was there when I purchased it in the early 90s. I have been its second owner, keeping it as the workhorse of my rig in a strictly smoke-free environment.Beyond the hardware itself, this listing includes a massive vault of custom sound design: over 100 floppy disks containing more than 150 custom patches. Highlights of this library include my own meticulously sampled favorite Minimoog patches—allowing you to play iconic, massive analog Moog leads and basses polyphonically across the keyboard.All keys, buttons, the floppy drive, and internal electronics work strictly to specification. The original manual is included, though PDF versions are also readily available online.It also comes with a gig bag, the original Ensoniq sustain pedal and the original Ensoniq Output Expander which allows you to send each of the 8 possible instruments out via its own audio output, allowing for nearly limitless options for downstream effects and processing, even in a live environment.I am selling it because I have made a shift away from the progressive, art, and math rock that I used to play toward a style that no longer requires an extensive synth setup.
