Restored and customized combo to head conversion. The combo shell was poorly altered when I bought it and it had no tubes. Lyle at Lone Wolf amps gave it the thorough maintenance tuneup, new tubes and a couple minor improvements. I altered what was left of the combo shell into a head shell reminiscent of the Mesa Mark amps. I wrapped it in albino gator furniture grade vinyl and adorned the front and back with beautiful hand picked boards of red mahogany. New black corner guards and rubber feet.
No reverb tank. The leads were removed but can be easily replaced.
This amp is super loud with beautiful cleans and a nice 80s gain. 25-50-100 power switch which comes in very handy. This amp gets brutal with an OD in front and effects pedals sound better through the Carvin than most of my other amps. Made in Escondido, CA USA. These were the preferred amps for Frank Zappa, Steve Vai and many other greats. 1985 was an epic year for gear and the music industry.
