Gibson Tom Delonge ES-333 2004 Matte Black

For sale is my Gibson Tom Delonge ES 333 in BLACK. This was my dream guitar and I decided to have it painted because I saw him with it and I had to have mine in that color. Plus, it doesn’t match the cheap Epiphone models. I was the very first one to have a Gibson painted before all the fakes started appearing on the internet. You can still find my review on Sims Custom Shop website. This is a real Gibson. This is not an Epiphone. This is not a fake. This is the real deal. This is the only one you'll see with a black neck and headstock.

This guitar was custom painted by Sims Custom Shop several years ago. This guitar took months and months of waiting as well as cost of labor to have this created. I ordered the headstock decal from Gibson and paid even more money to have the neck/headstock painted to match. Here is a link for my guitar during the painting process.

This guitar is definitely a crowd favorite! I have gotten so many compliments playing this guitar. All original aside from installing Dunlop Strap locks. The pickup sounds great, neck is smooth and has amazing intonation. I’ve had this guitar for years and it has played a few shows. It has a stock Gibson Dirty Fingers pickup.

I paid well over 2K for this guitar when I bought it new. I can still dig up the receipt from Music123 if you are interested. The paint job was around $500 and the headstock decal alone was over $100. They are getting much harder to find now that they are no longer produced. The only way to get one is to find a used one. Even then, the only color you can get is the brown.

There are some small scuffs around the body and headstock which I have tried to photograph but was extremely difficult. They do not affect playability at all. It is really easy to scratch with the matte finish. It is also even harder to take photos of the scratches. That is why some of the photos looked washed out. I was trying to capture some of the scratches with the flash. You pretty much have to shine a bright light on the guitar to see them. I am amazed at the great shape this guitar is in. I would say it is probably a 7 out of 10. I have been extremely gentle with my guitar but I just wanted to point out any detail for a potential buyer. This guitar was purchased new by me to play. It wasn't just hung on a wall. Please ask for more pictures if I have not included an area you would like to see. There are also a few tiny dings in the headstock (see pictures). I like to play my guitars for what they are for and this thing is phenomenal. The back of the neck is PERFECT. I am not sure how I got so lucky with it but I never got hardly a smudge on it. I am trying to be extremely thorough and describe every detail I can think of.

I am including a hard shell case. I will also throw in a Dunlop strap just like what Tom uses. I have seen several bands use his signature model including: Boys Like Girls, The Script, The Subways, and Relient K.

All sales final. Contiguous United States only please. Make me an offer and get an outstanding guitar at a great price.
