Rare Takamine Steelstring and the unofficial signature model of Glen Hansard, which he played for decades in the E version (with pickup).
Glen who...? Well, the red curly haired guitarist from Alan Parker's brilliant musical film "The Commitments". Hansard is a busy musician, but remained faithful to the film industry even after The Commitments and wrote, among other things, on the soundtracks of "The Tribute to Panem" or "Can a Song Save Your Life?".
Here is the purely acoustic AN 70 in satin finish - made in Japan, year of manufacture: 2003.
Solid cedar top, sapele back and sides.
Mahogany neck with rosewood fingerboard, 20 frets and Gotoh tuners.
Rosewood bridge, compensated bone nut.
Scale length: 64.4 cm, nut width: 43 mm.
A wonderfully tuned and voluminous sounding guitar with nice low string action.
Comes in Stagg shaped case as pictured.
The Takamine AN 70 has some signs of use, but is nowhere near as rocked out as Glen Hansard's guitar - see pictures. There are some small scratches as well as plectrum marks above the soundhole. Also, the varnish has become a bit milky in some places. However, the frets are still in top condition with at most 2-3 tiny playing marks.
