Gibson Limited Edition Les Paul Custom

Antique Alpine White

LPC-PSL17771 - Serial # CS200328

New from Dexter Music Center

Authorized Gibson Dealer and Service Center

The finish on this limited run was experimental.

Instead of "classic white", I decided to add antique toner

to the last three coats of lacquer as I do with my limited reissue runs.

It adds warmth to the color and tones down the binding, taking the bright white to a nice subtle aging. In talking with the finish professionals, a point was made that this would age better than the "classic white".

As the guitar would start showing wear, the original alpine white would start showing through as the 70's guitars would do over time. The added bonus is that the guitar doesn't smell like an ashtray!

After receiving the first guitar, being very pleased with the results,

I have added another run of the same with gold hardware and two more runs.

One with antique toner in the last two coats of lacquer, VOS with gold hardware

and one with antique in the last coat, VOS with nickel hardware.

Designed to Be the Best

Gibson Custom Shop is the pinnacle of craftsmanship, quality, and sound excellence. Each instrument celebrates Gibson's legacy through accuracy, authenticity and attention to detail.

As the flagship model from Gibson Custom Shop, the Les Paul Custom lives up to the high standards set by its 1950s archetype while evolving to a level of tone and performance more suited to today's musical demands. Beneath the layers of its "tuxedo" appointments lies the crisp, edgy voice of an Alnico II Burstbucker set, a solid Ebony fingerboard, a long neck tenon for maximum sustain and a two-piece maple top over a solid mahogany body which adds the perfect amount of sonic bite to everything from jazz to hard rock. It sounds as good as it looks, and it looks as good as it sounds!
