Toshiba SA-420 1976 Silver/Real Walnut Recapped/Serviced with LEDs

This is a very nice sounding and well built receiver. I did a partial recap on it using higher rated Nichicon, Rubicon, Sprague and Wima (film) capacitors.Film caps were used along the signal paths and other places for their better sound quality (aka low leakage). The power supply, amp boards and main cap on the pre amp were all done along with new higher gain (hfe) On Semi output transistors, KSC1845 gain matched differential pairs, etc. Idle current was set (10mv/channel), fresh heat sink paste on outputs, and normal clean/lube of all pots and switches….Lastly, FM tuner alignment was done and warm white LEDs on dial and meters. Had to go wild and wrap the case in real walnut veneer too😎 It was given a full run up using 8ohm dummy load, signal generator and scope with additional tone sweep through the phono circuit (inverse RIAA converter)…I rocked it with a nice pair of JBL 4311s for hours and enjoyed it thoroughly….Comes with original paperwork…FREE SHIPPING
