Pair of vintage Matsushita (Amperex) Ecc82/12au7 preamp driver tubes, 1960s, tested strong, Made in Japan with the oversight and tooling of Amperex of Holland. They have the incomparable vintage 1960s quality, design, craftsmanship and performance that only vintage tubes can offer. They test strong on my B&K Mutual Conductance tube tester, both sides of both tubes test over 850, where 640 is minimum good. They sound superb, open, detailed, spacious, involving, smooth and musical. Vintage tubes simply sound better, are made better and last longer than anything that is manufactured today.
