I am relisting this 6.27.22
Was noticed crack on back is quite long - but as noted below it received a full professional fix a month or 2 ago by Mr Darren Hippner. Anything that could be glued together and sealed has been done so and taken care of. The only thing left one could do is to sand down a little over the crack area and refinish - a lot of the crack seems to be just partial thickness or even just in the finish - most of it seems to be just in the finish even? There's just nothing there - no separation in wood fibers to fit any glue or sealant into!
So if this takes long to sell I will ask Darren to make the crack as invisible as possible by touching up the finish. Also he may inlay a thin thin very light piece of wood in inside of back. But really - that may be excessive. Doesn't really seem to need it. Would seem to be overkill doing that.

But under-promise and overdeliver is what one is supposed to do with these online sales hence I am describing as best I can.

I recently have had 2 newer top of the line blancas from Granada (list prices 6K and 7K) and I would take this Hippner Esteso over either of the Granada ones. So I am not fibbing when I say this is in my opinion the best Hippner I have played out of 5-10 that I have previously played.

its the only one i ever made , i would charge $3500 to build it today
above words from Mr Darren Hippner himself.

note Mr Hippner often builds in batches of 10. Hence a one-off build means he built this as a single guitar (ie not a batch of mutliple guitars) and likely implies a little more time focused soley on this particular guitar.
Brazilian rosewood bindings, bridge and headstock cap used.

This guitar was just recently at the Hippner shop - he lowered the action - now at 3.1mm/2.5mm. Oasis normal tension carbons installed May 2022.
I personally have played 5 - 10 Hippner guitars - several classicals, 2 Hippner Gerundino negra tributes, several blancas (2 different Conde tributes w different types of spruce, Hippner Reyes - a cedar top) ...to my mind this is most likely the best of all I've played.

having just used a mirror to look inside - 7 fan bracing....with use of tentellones to brace the top vs using some kerfed continuous liner around edge of top. So, no doubt, tentellones takes longer to set/install - makes sense when this is one-off build - not part of a batch of 10 ...and I think that extra time setting the top is noticeable in improved sound/response.

Has a lot of volume. Also has clarity and response which are the hallmarks of a good blanca. Negras in my opinion are more difficult to get the tone/sound right. Blancas seem to be a more reliable product from all builders - though the Hippner Gerundino negra tributes were bueno - especially the one with cocobolo.
I think this Hippner Esteso may work for classical as much or even more than flamenco. I think it's quite multi-purpose as it seems to have plenty of sustain and so is also suited to alternate/open tunings if one wished.
Perhaps is designed as a blanca - though did Domingo Esteso make nearly as many classicals as flamencos I believe - so maybe not surprising that a guitar modelled after Esteso specs (dimensions and bracing, aswell as headstock and rosette) might be more of a hybrid?
and only a very few signs of having been played--subtle nail marks in the french polish.  6-piece cypress back, German spruce top, cedar neck with ebony inset . gold plated Tuners , custom hand made rosette , thin body , very easy to hold and play , slightly narrow 50 mm nut and 650 mm scale.
Neck has a spline as seen in pictures - so you can be sure the neck is straight. Partial thickness crack in back would be hard to picture but Mr Hippner has also in May 2022 coated the crack in glue from the outside and cleaned it off so it has been stabilized - crack has not penetrated into inside of back so nothing to treat or repair from the inside.
This is a really great flamenco blanca, one of the very best of the many Hippner blancas , light as a feather . If you are looking for a loud and bright traditional sounding flamenco cannon at a bargain price, this could be it. Case included as pictured.
