Rickenbacker 330/12 Custom Features by Paul Wilczynski Mapleglo

Rickenbacker 330/12 with custom gold guards, TV knobs, aged crushed pearl inlays, and checkerboard fingerboard binding done by Paul Wilczynski. Excellent condition, a few finish checks. The worst being an inch long finish blemish under the tailpiece. Not noticeable unless you are looking for it. Neck is slightly lifting, a common problem with Ric 12 strings. Completely playable, and has never caused an issue or gotten worse in the 6 years that it has been noticeable. Sometime down the road, and not being an expert, it may need a neck reset. In the meantime, it is a completely functional instrument with good action and holds tune. Standard molded Ric hard case. Strung with Pyramid Flatwounds. This is a beautiful guitar.

Although Rickenbacker does not have an official custom shop luthier Paul Wilczynski is authorized by the company to build their acoustic guitars as well as perform Rickenbacker restorations and custom work. His methods are as close as you can get to the original work done at Rickenbacker in the 1950s and '60s. The crushed pearl inlays on this guitar are especially beautiful, done just as they were in mid-century with a slight amber agent to make them look aged. The checkerboard binding used on the neck is also from Rickenbacker. The original white pickguard and nameplate where exchanged for official Rickenbacker gold plates through Paul, one of the few people authorized by the company to do this.
