Gibson SG Standard Bass Left Handed Heritage Cherry 2018

Here for sale we have a Gibson SG Standard Bass in Heritage Cherry nitrocellulose finish. Built in the USA in 2018 this bass features a Mahogany body, a ‘Rounded’ profile Mahogany neck, a Rosewood fingerboard, 20 medium jumbo frets, Grover Shamrock machine heads, along with a pair of SG Bass Rhythm and Lead pickups, wired to dual volume pots and a master tone.

The gloss neck plays well, offering a smooth and comfortable playing surface, with the ‘Rounded’ profile feeling particularly easy in the hand, certainly one that will suit a lot of different players. The short 30.5” scale length feels compact but not overly small, the classic SG body style helping it to feel slightly longer than it really is, with the dual cutaways giving great access to the upper register.

The pickups sound very traditional, with a rich and full low end from the neck pickup, great for thumping rhythm parts, while the bridge pickup has a much more pronounced midrange, great for when you need more punch, sounding excellent when driving the front end of an amp. Overall a very well put together bass, offering classic rock tones!

Headstock- Faint markings are visible to the face of the headstock, some light finish chipping is visible to the top edge and a visible one to the rear edge. The sides and rear show minimal marking.

Neck- Very Good Condition

Body- Very light scratches and surface level indents to the finish are visible in places. There is a finish fill that appears to the front just below the bridge.

Shape and condition is very good

Truss Rod & Bridge- Fully Functional and can be adjusted

Height of the string from the 12th Fret- 2.5mm bass 2mm treble

Please be aware that the action on a guitar may move slightly in transit and this measurement is the current height.

Adjustable to preference, the guitar has a Babicz Bridge fitted

Electrics are in full working order

The guitar shows some light aesthetic markings but I would not deem these significant as they do not detract from the overall look of the instrument. The frets offer very good playability and the hardware/electrics are fully functional.

The guitar comes with a Gibson Branded tan hard case which is in excellent condition.
