The Ibanez AP1 Magnetic pickup is carefully placed right at the neck and body joint. Not only is this location the "sweetest spot" for warm sound, it's also the most secure as the pickup is mounted to the guitar's wood block and bracing. Specifically designed to complement the AP1 pickup, the AEQ3M equalizer features treble, middle and bass slide level controls. There's also an EQ phase switch to eliminate feedback and an innovative level control for the 1st and 2nd strings so both the wound and unwound strings can be perfectly balanced
