Up for sale from my acoustic-only collection: a Vintage 1969 Martin D12-35 with last of the great, old-growth gorgeous Brazilian rosewood guitars and last of the great Braz sets before Martin switched over to East Indian rosewood - the Holy Grail folks! In excellent+ BEAUTIFUL condition, back UNBELIEVABLY scratch free!! 100% crack/split FREE, top is flat, no repairs required. The fretboard/frets crowned & polished, all good as new, super-clean, perfectly straight neck, prof. setup w/perfect action, brand new D'Addario EJ38 PB lights strings 5/17/22 sounding like a dream, so beautiful would make your great-grandma cry!
I have to say this guitar
sounds very unique & heavenly, like angels singing in your ears in my
semi-humble but very knowledgeable opinion, exactly if not more than what you'd
expect from a vintage Martin 12-string: it's warm, superb projection,
woody/slightly dry with gorgeous sustain and has a perfect, gorgeous sweet tone
with just the right chime for a 12 and it's nearly impossible to duplicate or
put down. Extremely rare find in this condition, just amazing!! Would EASILY cost well north of $25K-$30K to build this masterpiece today -IF- Martin even had this quality wood. Solid quality investment piece, only one way value will go - UP!!! All original (even the saddle!), no repairs, proverbial "case queen", very low playing hours. Only changes are a K&K Pure Western Mini pickup installed ~2018 sounding perfectly natural (Wish You Were Here & many more never sounded better!) and perhaps new pickguard before my time. Only flaws I can see are small laquer discoloration near the bridge, one tiny, tiny chip in binding and tiny scratch on the side upper bout and normal vintage laquer checking (see pics10,11,12), again just amazing condition for a 53 year old guitar!!! Really nice Martin Logo embossed thermo case included. Please check my 5-star feedback from my many super-satisfied customers. Yet another incredible vintage Martin guitar I will sorely regret selling and wish I had all of them back. Time to move on to the next lucky owner, don't miss it, hurry before I change my mind!
