Technically it could be a little more black, but that was never really the point of this build.
This is a Jazzmaster style baritone with a 28" scale, Seymour Duncan Pegasus/Sentient pickups, and Hipshot locking tuners and bridge. It's loud, it's fat, and it goes to eleven. If you're looking to tune low and chug slow, just flick the pickup selector to "worse" and turn "fat" and "loud" all the way up.

With other guitars:
Specs:
2-piece ash body
AllParts bartitone conversion neck, 24 fret, 28" scale
Seymour Duncan Pegasus / Sentient set
Bourns 500k push-pull volume (neck pickup series / parallel)
Bourns 500k push pull tone (bridge pickup series / parallel)
Orange drop cap
Hipshot locking tuners
Hipshot bridge
Tusq nut
Tusq string tree
Originally built with chrome hardware due to shortages of black parts, I've slowly been blacking it out over the past several months. I put a ding in the back by the string ferrules when switching to black ones, and there are other imperfections introduced while repeatedly disassembling and reassembling. I stained the fretboard with the same black as the body before moving to the fretwork and you can see the natural rosewood color where I ran the fret file. I also moved the strap button lower on the top horn after finishing, and added some card stock under the nut to raise it a touch.
I took the photos in broad daylight to highlight anything that could be considered a flaw, so please be sure to take a close look. Playability and sound are unaffected.
Free shipping to the lower 48. No case, but it will come with a gig bag and be packed with the care of an Egyptian mummy. If you’re able to do local pickup, get in touch and I’ll adjust the price accordingly. Happy to answer questions or provide more photos.
