For your consideration, Garrett Park Guitars presents this 1918 Gibson L-3.

Recently serviced by our luthier, this 1918 Gibson L-3 is in good shape and plays well. Repairs include a crack repair by the sound hole, a neck reset, and a top crack repair to the right of the bridge. The pickguard is missing.

Gibson's L-3 was the company's most highly ornamented (and priced) small-body archtop with a lovely sunburst finish, engraved Waverly tuners, and rich inlay around the round sound hole.

Tonally this Gibson is a bit unusual, with a sound best described as old school and it lends itself to vintage music, It also has clarity and plenty of volume. The neck is a very thick V shape that is surprisingly enjoyable to play. The tone leans more to the treble side but it does have a nice bit of low end balancing things out.
