This is a beautiful guitar which plays and sounds
great. It is similar in feel and sound to a Gibson Les Paul Studio with a 60’s
neck profile, but lighter, with a different control setup, stainless steel
frets, bone nut, and a 9
.5”
to 14” compound fingerboard radius
.
The fingerboard is Rosewood. The tuners have been
upgraded to Gotoh Magnum 381 Locking Tuners. The bridge pickup has been
upgraded to Gibson 498 4-wire which is run through an upgraded CTS 500k push-pull
pot wired to allow full humbucker or single coil tone, the neck pickup has been
upgraded to a Gibson 490 two-wire with a beautiful tone run through an upgraded
CTS 500k pot. The 3-way switch has been upgraded to a CRL.
Over all this is very comparable to a Gibson Les Paul
Studio, but lighter, with better fretwork and simplified controls, in mint
condition. It plays great and sounds great. The specifications and description
from the vendor (of the pre-upgrades guitar) are further down.
The guitar did not come with a case or gig bag. It did
come with two allen wrenches and those are included.
The case I’m sending it in is a generic Les Paul-style
hard case, used but in good condition. The guitar is in like new condition
except that the pickups I bought used and there are some scratches and dings on
those, though not very noticeable; they don’t really show up in the photos.
This is from my personal collection. Instruments and
components are played and stored in a temperature- and humidity-controlled,
smoke-free, pet-free environment.
My hobby is looking for guitars that inspire me, and
make it easier to play. I buy a guitar, often make upgrades, and set it well. I
level, crown and polish the frets, clean and condition the fretboard, add good
strings, polish it, and then play it. A precious few I fall in love with and
add to my collection, but most I pass on to a new home. I am not a business, I
lose money on nearly every guitar, but I love playing and I love trying out
different guitars. Every single one of them is unique!
Please ask any questions before purchase.
Thank you.

About this item
- Roasted Okoume Body and Neck: Okoume has a similar warm tone to Mahogany, but with
a lighter weight. The roasting process makes the body and neck more stable
and resonant. EART Studio also features a deeper lower horn cut for easier
high frets access, and a belly cut for comfortable playing.
- Custom Alnico II Humbuckers: Alnico II magnets are often associated
with prominent mid-range attack, soft highs and spongey bass. Combined
with the Okoume body and neck, EART Studio has a distinctive mid-focused
blues solo tone in the neck and 83s hard rock rhythm in the bridge.
- Bone Nut:
Bone is a hard natural material and it has been favored by many luthiers
for higher-end instruments due to its sustain and natural lubricating
property.
- Simplified Control Layout:
EART Studio was designed with simplicity in mind, aimed at the players
that are looking for straightforward guitars. Featuring one volume and one
tone control, the Studio eliminated any obstacles that might interfere
with your playing. The pickup selector is also re-located so you can
change pickup positions with ease.
- Hand Polished Stainless Steel Frets: Stainless steel frets provide unrivaled durability
and smooth playing surface for nice and easy big bends. Each fret ends are
also hand-dressed for playing comfortability.
- U to C Compound Neck Profile and Compound Radius: Eart Studio has a unique U to C compound neck
profile with thicker shoulder on the lower frets, slowly tapers down to a
slimmer C to higher frets. Along with a 9.5” to 14” compound fingerboard
radius, EART Studio provides excellent playability for both chording and
soloing.
