2001 Gibson L-00 Acoustic Guitar Deep Body Long Scale UNIQUE Model!

2001 Gibson L-00.  This is a truly unique model made only for 2-3 years with an extra deep body and a longer 25" scale, almost like a mahogany-backed Nick Lucas model.  Gives it a truly unique voice, with a lot of punch, especially in the low end.  Top is spruce... possibly Adirondack but hard to know for sure, but definitely tight-grained.  Gibson acoustics for this era are often compared to the Historic Series, etc from following years in build quality, etc.   I don't have a scale, but this guitar is super lightweight... significantly lighter than my 2007 Modern Classic Hummingbird.  Relatively slim and super comfortable neck profile.  I have a feeling I'm going to end up regretting selling this one!

This guitar has been very well-taken care of and is in incredible shape for a 21 year old guitar.  There are a few small dings and some pick-swirling on the top.  There are some finish cracks on the bottom edge below the endpin, but nothing that goes through the wood.  Guitar is currently wired for a Baggs M1 pickup, but the pickup is NOT included in the sale.  Original hardshell case is included.

The first couple of photos almost give the impression of a crack or defect in the lower bout of the top.  This is NOT the case, and is simply the light hitting where the finish has settled into the woodgrain over the years.
