The sight of this takes me back a few years when I met one half of the dynamic duo of Thin Lizzy. You know I was all chillin in Dallas Texas, when much to my surprise, I noticed that the Black Star Riders were in town. That's when I gave my trusty side kick Ray the nod as in, we are going. Thru the aid of friends, I got a couple of backstage passes and I was introduced to Scott Graham via Damon Johnson.

Nervously, I walked into the backstage area and there her was, his eyes were dark his expression sullen. He and I made small talk, just BS'n about his days with Thin Lizzy. How's that? Of course, I spoke about Phil and Gary and to his amusement, his audition and the fact that he (shall, I say) borrowed some albums from the record store he worked for to finance his first Gibson Deluxe if you will. Scott; "You know about that?" Naturally I know, no bigger Thin Lizzy fan you will ever find than I.

That friends was my brush with greatness. Yes, I've met all kinda of rock stars and dinned with Kings and Queens, but for me, meeting a member of Thin Lizzy was the apex. What brings this to mind? This Gibson Deluxe should be your clue Dear Watson. This guitar is what I think of in the Realm of the Black Rose. How's that Phil?

Play me the melodies so I might know.
So I can tell my children, oh.

Someone once wrote:

“To live in hearts we leave behind is not to die.”

Not to die? Never, legends never die and this is why I tell you the stories. I tell them to you in reverence, so as you can tell the children, oh. "OK Lee, I understand, but what about this guitar? You got me here."  Well, as you know, this guitar is a 1977 Deluxe in Wine Red and in outstanding condition. Yes, I see the scrape mark on the back of the neck and no, I have no idea how it got there, but that doesn't detract from the overall look and play ability. With that being said, I doubt you'll find a better example for sale. This one as you may have noticed was purchased in Georgia by Frank Leggett on March 7th, 1977 and of course comes with the original case and warranty card.

The tone you ask? From, "Romeo and the Lonely Girl to Chinatown," you better look around, because you got that tone in your hands that won't back down.

In closing people, if you are in need of vintage value, then I got what you want right here. Phil, is that you again?

And how he'd fight and always won.
And how they cried when he was fallen

Yep, I still think about you often and the legacy you left us, because legends never die.
